Draconian
The term refers to the laws of Draco, a 7th-century Athenian statesman and lawmaker, whose code of laws prescribed death for almost every offence. This term is used to describes a bill, laws, measures or punishments that threaten freedom and liberties, will usually have the effect of killing the bill or rescinding acts/laws.
